Creative Writing/Journaling:

Several books we've read this week (My Best Friend, Ghost and Ghost and Pete) are cute stories with a common theme of friendship.  We looked up what the Bible says about friendship and found that it is a gift to be treasured from God.  The Bible mentions friendship ninety times!

Shayla copied Proverbs 17:17.  A friend loves at all times.  She drew a picture of her new best friend, Emma and her and wrote a paragraph about things they like to do together.

*I used to think I didn't have time for projects like these, but this made her happy!  I think thinking for herself is definately more important than curriculum and staying on the curriculum schedule!

Bible/Reading/Art/Science:  Fall Leaves.  Read these books about fall leaves.  Then went outside and found some leaves.  What does the Bible say about fall?  Shayla made rubbings of leaves, painted leaves and made prints, and made this fall collage.

Thursday:
Bible:  Gideon:  God's People Destroy

Friday:
Bible:  Gideon.  God Makes a Promise.

Lang/phonics:  Lesson 51
