CVS Savings Week of May 11-17, 2008
Sorry I'm late posting this, but that seems to be the story of my life lately.
I know I don't do as well as some CVSers, but it works for our family. I've also found that the employees of CVS are much nicer when you don't split your purchases into several transactions. I do it occasionally, but honestly, I was in a hurry this week.
You'll also see a "splurge" of almost $5.00 for a toy. I know it's outrageous, but I relied on the help of my husband and youngest daughter this week because my hands are still covered with poison ivy.
Anyway, here's what I got:
Deal: Buy $20 of Oral B/Crest products Get $10 ecb
1 Oral-B Satin dental floss $2.50
3 Crest Pro Health toothpastes $11.97
2 Crest Pro Health mouthrinses $7.98
Total 22.45
-3.99 free product coupon
-1.25 wyb 1 crest toothpaste & mouth wash
-1.00 wyb crest pro health (I used 2 of these)
Deal: Buy $10 Hershey products get $5 ecb
1 Reese's cookie $2.00
1 bag of York peppermint patties $2.00
2 bags of cadbury milk chocolates $5.98 (husband already opened one bag)
1 hershey's special dark bars $.99
Total $10.97
-1.00 cvs coupon off cadbury (I used 2 of these)
-.55 off reese's cookies
-.75 off york candies
Deal: Buy $10 Softsoap or Irish Spring products get $4 ecb
1 softsoap refill $6.49
1 soft soap shower gel $3.99
Total $10.48
-.35 coupon
-.75 coupon
Then, Shayla bought a plastic baseball bat & ball for $4.99.
I had to throw in a filler item of chapstick @ $2.99 - $1 ecb to reach a total of over $50 before tax to use the $10 off $50 CVS coupon
Total purchase $64.16 after coupons and ecb's, I spent $19.37 oop, and got back $20 in ecb's to use next time! I saved $44.79.
Last week was a pretty decent week. I really don't see anything I think I'll go after this week. I'll probably start doing this every other week instead of every week since we have quite a stockpile. It's also a hectic time for us, or maybe it's just that I'm getting burnt out on doing the whole CVS thing for now?!?
Is anyone else suffering from burn out? Do you see any deals I missed this week?
