I had to go to the "unfriendly" CVS store this week because we had other errands to run in that town. I say "unfriendly" because some of the staff does not care for couponers much, and they are not shy about it.
This particular store was also out of many sale items, but, I got the things I most wanted and got rainchecks for the other items.
Here's what I got this week:
4 12 packs of Mountain Dew on sale 4/$12 with $3 ecb
I used 2 $2 manufacturer coupons to get these for $8
2 colgate toothpastes - BOGO (Buy 1 get 1 free) Priced at 2.19
-.75 manufacturer coupon
2 bags m&m's Dark Chocolate 14 oz bags (for my sweet husband)BOGO Priced at $3.29 with unadvertised ecb $3
-1.00 manufacturer coupon off 2 bags
Then I used $10 ecb and got these things for $2.02 oop (out of pocket). And earned $3 for the pepsi products and $3 from the M&M's = total of $6 ecb for next trip.
Just a side note, I was looking at my receipt at the bottom. My year to date savings is $1167.32 and my out of pocket spending is...drumroll please...$75.59!
It's a great system! Do you CVS? How does it work for you?
